East Tambaram at Chennai is a blessed locality with the first branch of Shrimutt established by His Holiness Sri Sri Ramachandrananda Teertha Mahaswamigal, the 32nd Peetadhipathi of Shrimutt and the revered Guru of present Peetadhipathi Srividyabhinava Sri Krishnananda teertha Mahaswamigal. The Tamabarm branch Mutt was established in the year 1967. From then on it is witnessing steady growth in various Dharmic activities.
The Shrimutt complex comprises of a Temple dedicated to the presiding deity Shrividya Rajarajeswari, first consecrated by His Holiness Sri Sri Ramachandrananda Teertha Mahaswamigal, -“Ramachandra Periyava” as referred by the devotees with fond reverence. The temple and shrimutt complex was thoroughly renovated and expanded by the present Guru adding shrines for Adishankara Bhagavadpada, Lord Shiva, and Godess Durga along with a Rajagopuram. The Kumbhabhishekam was performed in a grand manner in the year 2002.
Daily poojas and various festivals throughout the year are being celebrated with all religious fervour and devotion in accordance with the method of Shrimutt by learned pundits from Karnataka. On all festival days and also during the camps of His Holiness, Annadana (feeding the hungry) is organized by Shrimutt and devotees.

Sri Hariharaputra Bhajan Samaj, a philanthropic organization established at Chembur west- Mumbai has a history of association with Shrimutt. The samaj has temples dedicated to Sri Dharma saastha, Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavadpada and Godess Kamakshi Amman, apart from Lord Vinayaka and Lord Aanjaneya. These temples were re-consecrated in February 2014 by His Holiness.
Shrimutt branch activities of Mumbai are housed in Shankaralayam in the Bhajansamaj building. Various dharmic activities of Sri Hariharaputra Bhajan samaj are supported by Shrimutt and its devotees.

Shrimutt Coimbatore Branch is situated in Eachanari, on the outskirts of the city in Pollachi Road. A beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, Goddess Durga and Goddess Saraswati is situated in the premises. There is also a huge Idol of Lord Maha Vishnu in a reclining posture. There are Idols of Lord Ganesha and Hanuman. This Temple also has a huge Hall where hundreds of Devotees can sit and perform their Prayers. This temple is maintained by Shri Jagadguru Badari Shankaracharya Samsthanam, Shakatapuram Shrividyapeetam.

Situated in a serene Village THIRUVONAMANGALAM, near Alangudi (Guru Sthalam) in Kumbakonam- Mannargudi route, this place houses a majestic temple for Lord Hanuman. The main deity, SHRI SHANKATAHARA MANGALA MARUTHI, is 33 feet high and the speciality is that the Lord is depicted carrying four important herbs that was brought by him from Sanjeevi Hills (Himalayas) to save the life of Lord Lakshmana in the battlefield. Apart from this Sannidhi there are separate sannidhis for Lord Rama and Lord Lakhmi Narasimha. Scores of people visit this temple and pray for their welfare, health and happiness by elimination of all evils (Shankata Hara) and obtain special “Rama Raksha” – a holy string that is tied in their hands. The lord is also powerful in removing all Navagraha Doshams.
Adjacent to the temple, within the premises there is a Pooja Mantapam and also shrimutt quarters. Construction of a 108 feet Rajagopuram with granite basement and granite entrance has commenced. Once completed, it will add to the majesty of the temple.
